What platform or operating system (OS) do you use?
All our infrastructure servers run OpenBSD. We offer OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Linux, Solaris, IRIX and Windows 2000/2003 Server Hosting to our clients, both managed and unmanaged.

What is Virtual Web Hosting?
Virtual Web Hosting means having your own domain name, http://www.your-domain-name.com, visible on the Internet without having to install expensive server hardware and software. With Virtual Web Hosting, you utilize our server's storage space and other resources, however you are still professionally represented via your own personal Internet web site and e-mail address. This is also known as Shared Web Hosting. We offer four different Virtual Web Hosting options.

Can I access my web site without the "www"?
Yes, you will be able to access your web site with or without the "www" in front of the domain name.
Example: http://www.your-name.com and http://your-name.com will both work.

Do you register domain names?
Yes, domain name registrations are $14.95 per year. If you register with us, we will take care of everything for you. DNS hosting for your domain is also included.

Can I transfer existing domain name to your servers?
Yes, you can. We will assist you if you need help. It is important that you do not cancel your current service with your current provider until the transfer is complete. Don't worry, we will guide you through the process.

Do you provide any database solutions?
We support MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server.

Do you allow cronjobs?
Yes, however they are subject to review from our System Administrators. Legitimate cronjobs are welcome on our servers.

Do you support third level domains or sub domains?
Yes, we support third level domain names (sub domains) such as "name.yourdomain.com".

How long does it take to register and set up a new domain?
It takes about 24-72 hours until the new domain name starts working on the Internet. Usually it starts working sooner, but you should allow 72 hours to be 100% sure.

Can I register additional domains to point to a subdirectory within my main domain?
Yes, you can. There is no extra charge for this service.

Can I have additional domains pointing to the same main page as my main domain?
Yes, you can. There is no extra charge for this service.

How do I transfer files to my web site?
Files must be transferred to the web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP). If you are not familiar with FTP, or don't have a software, we will help you with that.

Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?
You will have 24x7 unlimited access to your web site via FTP, so you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.

Do you offer SSH access? I would like to scp/sftp my files instead.
Yes, we do.

Do you offer web design?
We don't do web design, but we are partners with a number of web design companies and can give you a good deal if you host your web site with us. E-mail us if you are interested.

Can I use my account for commercial purposes?
Yes, you can use your account for commercial purposes. The World Wide Web has become the most efficient and cost-effective means of making information available to the users of the Internet community and we encourage our customers to utilize such an enormous medium.
